Standard GPS puts you within 2–5 metres of where you actually are. That's fine for car navigation. It's not fine when you're grading a road, laying foundations, mapping a field, or flying a survey drone. RTK corrections close that gap.

By comparing your receiver's position against a network of fixed reference stations, an RTK service eliminates most of the error in real time — bringing your accuracy down to 1–2 centimetres horizontally.

With RTK.ie, you connect your receiver to our network over the internet using the NTRIP protocol. No local base station to set up. No waiting. You get a fix and you start working. Every second you're connected, our network is doing the work in the background.

There are other correction services in Ireland. Here is what makes ours different.

1. We own every station in our network.Every reference station in the RTK.IE network is purchased, installed, and maintained by us. We have no dependency on third-party infrastructure. That means no risk of coverage gaps if another party changes their data policy, and no shared responsibility for uptime.

2. The only network covering the entire Irish coastline. RTK.IE is the only correction network with continuous coverage around the full coastline of the island of Ireland — reference stations every 50–70 km from Malin Head to Mizen Head and around every headland in between. If your work takes you to coastal or offshore locations, we have you covered where others don't.

3. 99.987% network availability — measured, not claimed. • VRS (Virtual Reference Station) — the network calculates a correction tailored to your exact location. Best accuracy, recommended for most applications. Default service on all plans.
